October 27, 2015 - The acclaimed virtual reality reboot of Battlezone is now confirmed as a launch title for PlayStation®VR. During Sony's international media briefing at Paris Games Week, it was also revealed Battlezone is coming first to PlayStation®VR.
Also unveiled was a stunning new trailer featuring new footage of the game's fast-paced, arcade vehicle combat amongst frozen plains, gleaming sci-fi cities and lava-scarred wastelands, all beautifully showcased in Battlezone's unique retro-futuristic style (download the new trailer and screenshots).
Revealed in June of this year and described by Wired as "one of the most entertaining games at the entire E3 conference", Battlezone takes the classic feel of Atari's 1980 arcade game and reignites it for the new generation of VR. Developed by independent UK studio Rebellion (Sniper Elite 3, Aliens vs. Predator), Battlezone features thrilling first-person tank combat set across gorgeous neon landscapes, immersing you fully within the cockpit of an ultra-advanced superweapon. In Battlezone you sense the battlefield through the power of VR, as enemy swarms loom over you and super-heated projectiles whistle past your ears.
